An update to Whiddon Easton Park families and friends

As south-west Sydney remains a COVID-19 hotspot, the precautionary measures, which include directives from NSW Health, remain in place until we are advised otherwise. As a reminder, please find these measures below:
• Visitation is restricted to approved compassionate visits only. For visits on compassionate grounds, such as end of life visits, our team is required to seek approval from the local NSW Public Health Unit.
• All staff working in our care homes at Easton Park must wear surgical masks
Please note that there have been no cases of COVID-19 at Whiddon Easton Park or at any of Whiddon’s other aged care homes.
Any form of aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated
We do understand that it is a distressing and anxious time right now. However, there is no excuse for any form of aggressive behaviour towards any Whiddon employee. Our team are doing all they can to keep residents safe and well and we ask that they are treated with respect at all times.
Security of tenure
If Whiddon does experience a COVID -19 positive case at one of our homes, it may be necessary to temporarily relocate our residents to another room or home to limit the spread of infection and to maximise safety for all residents and staff. Department of Health has provided guidance around this and Whiddon will abide by their recommendations if such circumstances arise. The relocation will be temporary and will only occur following consultation with the resident and their authorised representative.
