Our very exciting, and brand new, Everyday Heroes campaign has kicked-off!

What is the everyday heroes campaign?

This campaign has been developed to recognise the many heroes that make up the wider Whiddon team – everyday heroes are those who make a difference every day – in both big and small ways.

We know that COVID-19 and the Royal Commission have taken their toll on our employees. It’s difficult to keep spirits up at a time when external perceptions of aged care as a career are at an all-time low. We know our people are heroes and deserve better.

That’s why we’re seeking your help to call out these everyday heroes at Whiddon, and together, show them how much we value and appreciate them. Nominating your hero is easy and will make a difference.

Who can nominate an everyday hero?

We’re asking residents, clients, families, employees and friends to nominate their Whiddon everyday hero or heroes. Everyday heroes can be any of our employees, no matter what their role is.

Sounds like someone you know? Read on to find out how to nominate.

How do I nominate someone?

Here’s how it works:

1) Nominate your Whiddon hero by answering a few simple questions. You can do this by scanning the QR code on the posters you’ll see around our homes and services or by completing a hard-copy nomination form (available at Reception). Nominations can also be made online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WhiddonRecognition – so nominating someone is really at your fingertips!

2) Let us do the rest and get ready for your everyday hero to be celebrated!

Please help spread the word, build excitement and encourage nominations. Nominations open 1 May and close 30 May.
