ABOUT THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity has become available to welcome additional team members to the housekeeping team at Moree on a casual basis.
If you are passionate about contributing to the improvement of quality of life of the elderly and would like to work with a professional organisation that recognizes the contribution of staff through education and support programs, then this position is for you.

The key responsibilities of this role includes providing cleaning services in accordance with schedules including the cleaning of resident rooms and shared areas within the home, following infection control procedures, following chemical handling procedures, along with meeting appropriate documentation requirements.
The successful candidates will be passionate about delivering outstanding customer service, and will provide a friendly, attentive and efficient services to our residents.

YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Providing cleaning services as required by daily, weekly, monthly and special needs schedules, or as required by senior staff;
  • Follow infection control procedures by using colour coded cleaning equipment appropriately.
  • Following chemical handling procedures by using chemicals supplied, using chemicals as documented in Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) or the supplier, and storing and labelling chemicals.
  • Providing excellent customer service,
  • Meeting appropriate documentation requirements.
  • Following Safe Work Practices and equipment manuals to use equipment safely and effectively.
  • Following documentation procedures such as the completion of schedules and other documentation such as Accident Incident Reports.
  • Acting as a client advocate by reporting concerns regarding client services or client rights to senior staff.

To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience in providing cleaning services in an aged care setting would be an advantage;
  • An understanding of the importance and commitment to providing excellent customer service;
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
  • Understanding of Infection Control and Safe Work Practices;
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team and take direction to provide quality services;
  • Empathy and compassion for the elderly;An understanding of the importance and commitment to providing excellent customer service;
  • Excellent team work;
  • A commitment to continuous improvement;
  • The right to work in Australia.
