ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity has become available to welcome an additional team member to the catering team at Whiddon Casino!

Based in our Casino aged care home, you will be responsible for providing quality catering services across our home to create and maintain a comfortable home and working environment for residents, staff and visitors.

The key responsibilities of these roles include, providing food and beverage services to vulnerable persons. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering outstanding customer service, and will provide a friendly, and efficient services to our residents.

YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Providing food and beverage services to vulnerable persons in the residential buildings,
  • Following safe food handling procedures,
  • Providing excellent customer service,
  • Meeting appropriate documentation requirements;
  • Acting as a client advocate by reporting concerns regarding client services or client rights to senior staff.

 

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

To be successful in these positions you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience in providing food services in a catering / hospitality environment;
  • An understanding of the importance and commitment to providing excellent customer service;
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
  • Understanding of Infection Control and Safe Work Practices;
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team and take direction to provide quality services;
  • Empathy and compassion for the elderly;
  • An understanding of the importance and commitment to providing excellent customer service;
  • Ability to work as part of a team;
  • A commitment to continuous improvement;
  • The right to work in Australia.
