About You

You’re a natural-born leader with previous experience as a Registered Nurse within the Aged Care environment. You’ve had experience working within geriatrics or dementia (even better if it’s both) and you have a current registration under AHPRA as a Registered Nurse. You have successfully demonstrated your abilities in Clinical Assessment and Complex Health Care Requirements, Staff Management, Continuous Quality Improvement, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, WHS, Budget Control, Time Management and are continuously looking to further your skills.

You’re compassionate and empathetic, and have the ability to tackle any challenge head on. You have the ability to think strategically and innovative ideas come naturally to you and allow you to explore ideas that may not be considered the norm. Change doesn’t scare you and you’re open to exploring new ideas that will benefit the organisation, your team and your residents.

The Registered Nurse team have the tendency to look up to you as a role model, and you don’t shy away from the opportunity to mentor others. You’re able to provide direction and delegate based on the Clinical team’s strengths and can recognise opportunities to assist them to further develop their skills and knowledge. You will report directly into the Director of Care Services and Deputy Director Care Services.

Throughout your career you’ve been able to create relationships with various stakeholders and professionals, with the strong ability of maintaining these relationships. You’ll be no stranger when it comes time to developing strong relationships with the Management team, residents and their Families.

This position is for a Temporary 6 month contact- full time hours commencing 1 May 2021 to 1 November 2021.
