Whiddon is offering a jam-packed program of events, and is inviting the community to join in many of the celebrations.

The events will celebrate the valuable contributions of older people and offer a whole lot of fun for residents, families and friends.

From open days, themed dances, a garden party and fashion parade, to art projects, craft and concerts, this year’s Seniors Festival calendar at Whiddon is certainly huge!

Whiddon Casino (Northern Rivers Region)

  • Coffee and Chat, Wednesday 8 March, 10am – 1pm. Join us for morning tea, a tour, entertainment and more in celebration of NSW Seniors Festival! *open to public
  • Grand Garden Party, Friday 10 March, 1pm – 4pm. Enjoy a delicious lunch, be part of the Grand Opening of our brand new Sensory Garden and enjoy entertainment and meeting new friends.*open to public
  • Back to the 50’s Party, Tuesday 7 March. Dress-up day, food, rock and roll dancing and more
  • Community Art Project with Casino West Primary School. Stay tuned to see this project on display!
  • See us at the Lismore Seniors Expo on Saturday 11 March! *open to public

Whiddon Easton Park (Glenfield)

  • The Kitchen Table Masterclass, Wednesday 15 March, Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living (MCSL). In partnership with MCSL, this fun cooking workshop offers recipe and gardening tips and culminates in a delicious lunch with friends.   • Seniors Week Community BBQ, Wednesday 8 March. Entertainment and BBQ for residents, community care clients and Independent Living clients.

  • Seniors Week High Tea, Wednesday 8 March from 10am. Delicious high tea and entertainment.

Whiddon Kelso (Bathurst Region)

  • All-day Scrapbooking Event, Monday 5 March. Creating beautiful memories for residents, families and friends
  • Intergenerational Event, Thursday 9 March. A fun and interactive morning when Kelso primary school students will visit to learn new skills from our residents
  • Young at Heart, Saturday 11 March. Families will join us for reminiscing and fun
  • Macquarie Singers, Sunday 12 March. Residents will enjoy the beautiful sounds of this great group.

Whiddon Laurieton (Mid North Coast Region)

  • Seniors Week Open Day and Paint the Town FundraiserFriday 3 March. 10am – 2pm. Join us for a fun morning of painting and friendship a raise funds for activities at Whiddon Laurieton. Includes supplies and refreshments. $45pp. You’re welcome to also us for barefoot bowls and refreshments*open to public

Whiddon Redhead (Hunter Region)
