{"id":25341,"date":"2022-09-20T14:58:32","date_gmt":"2022-09-20T04:58:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.whiddon.com.au\/comms\/?p=25341"},"modified":"2022-09-20T14:58:32","modified_gmt":"2022-09-20T04:58:32","slug":"update-for-whiddon-kelso-families-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.whiddon.com.au\/comms\/update-for-whiddon-kelso-families-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Update for Whiddon Kelso Families"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Families<\/p>\n<p>We are pleased to advise that the current outbreak at Whiddon Kelso has been declared over by the Public Health Unit.<\/p>\n<p>Visits are welcome between 8am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday and must be pre-booked with administration.<\/p>\n<p>Below is an update on our latest Visitor guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you<\/p>\n<p>The Whiddon Team<\/p>\n<p><strong>Visitors to a Care Home<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visitors cannot enter a care home if they have tested positive for COVID in the last 10 days and\u00a0<strong>until<\/strong>\u00a0they are symptom free. The NSW Government\u2019s recent changes \u00a0to self-isolation periods do not apply to <strong>Aged Care facilities<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Visitors are required to return a negative test immediately prior to entering the home. Visitors who provide essential care and visit the home every day, may undertake second daily testing. However, in the event of an <strong>outbreak<\/strong> at the home testing will need to be conducted <strong>daily<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Limitations on Numbers of Visitors<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are also pleased to let you know that there is no longer a restriction on the number of visitors that your loved one can have each day. However, Whiddon recommends that group bookings are planned ahead, and that visitors contact the service so that you can reserve an area to accommodate your group size.<\/li>\n<li>Where possible, visits should be held outdoors or in well-ventilated areas away from other residents. This is particularly important for gatherings of more than 2 visitors.<\/li>\n<li>All visitors over 12 years of age must wear a mask over their nose and mouth while visiting indoors.<\/li>\n<li>As a precaution we ask that visitors maintain social distancing to help maintain resident safety.<\/li>\n<li>Visitors should remain with their loved one and not move between different areas of the facility. We ask that you remain in your loved one&#8217;s room or at the same outdoor location during your visit.<\/li>\n<li>In the event of a COVID Outbreak at your loved ones care home, changes to visitation may occur, including the requirement to pre-book visits in advance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Families We are pleased to advise that the current outbreak at Whiddon Kelso has been declared over by the Public Health Unit.
