{"id":28171,"date":"2025-07-21T10:03:59","date_gmt":"2025-07-21T00:03:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.whiddon.com.au\/comms\/?p=28171"},"modified":"2025-07-21T10:21:53","modified_gmt":"2025-07-21T00:21:53","slug":"important-update-for-easton-park-support-service-employees-regarding-raines-house","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.whiddon.com.au\/comms\/important-update-for-easton-park-support-service-employees-regarding-raines-house\/","title":{"rendered":"Important Update for Easton Park &#038; Support Service Employees regarding Raines House"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Team,<\/p>\n<p>You may have noticed over the last few months that construction at Raines House has been underway.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re excited to let you know that Whiddon is partnering with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.womenscommunityshelters.org.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Women\u2019s Community Shelters<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/housingallaustralians.org.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Housing All Australians<\/a> to open\u00a0 transitional accommodation for older women in need of support &#8211; right here at our former Raines House site at Glenfield.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to a planning change and support from the NSW Government, the upper levels of Raines House (Levels 2 &amp; 3) will soon become safe accommodation for 28 women through a \u2018meanwhile use\u2019 housing project. Renovations are already underway, with the official opening expected in October 2025.<\/p>\n<p>This is a first for Whiddon and aligns strongly with our purpose and community values. It\u2019s also part of our wider commitment to Collaborative Health initiatives, working across sectors to create long-term, sustainable impact.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Some quick facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The new Women\u2019s Accommodation Shelter will operate separately from other Whiddon services which will include secure access that will be in place to maintain safety and privacy for all<\/li>\n<li>Our Seniors Group for Home Care clients has been relocated to Level 1 of Raines House, next to our Men\u2019s Shed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We\u2019re proud to contribute to something so meaningful.<\/p>\n<p>More information will be shared closer to the launch, and if you have any questions, please contact your manager.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you,<\/p>\n<p>Whiddon Team<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Team, You may have noticed over the last few months that construction at Raines House has been underway.
