Bushfire conditions:

(posted at 4.38pm, 11/11/2019): With the dangerous fire conditions set to worsen tomorrow, a number of areas where Whiddon’s residential homes and retirement villages are located have been declared as having catastrophic, extreme or severe fire danger ratings.

Our residents, clients and team members are all safe and sound, and so far this week, there have not been any evacuations of our homes or villages.

Whiddon has plans in place, and our services are prepared should an evacuation of any of our homes or villages be required.

The key areas of concern for Whiddon currently are Beaudesert, Redhead, Belmont, Largs, Laurieton and Wingham. We continue to work with emergency services to monitor the situation of our homes and villages in these locations. We are also doing our best to check-in with and support a number of our community care clients and staff in affected areas.

We will provide daily updates on Whiddon’s website on the situation, or more frequently if the situation changes.
