Important update for families – Easton Park
New Update: 10 July 2020
Following reports of two people in the wider community testing positive to COVID-19, who recently attended The Crossroads Hotel in Casula, please note the important information below.
Due to the close proximity of this venue to the Easton Park residential aged care campus, we have implemented a number of important safety measures to help keep our residents, employees and visitors safe in response to this situation.
These measures include tightening of visitor restrictions for now, to include visits on compassionate grounds only until we know more about this unfolding situation. If you would like to arrange a visit on such grounds, please speak with your Care Manager. Compassionate visits are for residents that are close to the end of life or who may be distressed due to dementia and need the support of their loved one. Your Care Manager can provide further information on compassionate visits.
As soon as we feel it is safe to do so, we will once again relax these restrictions.
We are also taking additional precautionary measures with employees and contractors, which includes a screening question to ask if they have attended The Crossroads Hotel on or following 3 July. Anyone who has attended in this period will be not be able to attend the Easton Park campus for 14 days.
We apologise for the short notice in implementing these measures, however we believe that they are important steps in helping to keep everyone safe. During these times, we need to stay vigilant and monitor what is happening in our local communities, and this decision aligns with our approach to responding to a local COVID-19 situation.
Our 1300 738 388 Customer information line is open this Saturday 11 July, from 8am until 5pm, and on Sunday 12 July, from 9am until 1pm, or on weekdays from 8am until 7pm.
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we take steps to help ensure your loved one stays safe and well.
