Important COVID-19 Update: Visitation Restrictions
New Update: 16 July 2020
With the current COVID-19 situation continuing to escalate in close proximity to our Easton Park home, we want to thank you for your understanding while we continue to keep your loved ones and our employees safe.
Keeping our residents safe from the virus has always been our number one priority. So far, we have had zero confirmed cased from any resident, employee or visitor. From today, 16 July 2020, we will also be implementing additional safety measures that have been directed by NSW Health, in addition to our existing infection control processes. Please note, this directive is applicable to all South West Sydney aged care homes. These new measures include:
- All aged care staff must wear a surgical mask while working in our home until at least the end of July.
- Until the end of July, there will be no visitors allowed into our home. In the event that a family member requests a visit based on compassionate grounds (example, end of life), our team will be required to seek approval from the local NSW Health public health unit prior to allowing the visit to take place. We will provide you with an update if this measure exceeds past July.
We are also taking additional precautionary measures with employees and contractors, which includes a screening question to ask if they have attended any of the locations listed by the Department of Health. Anyone who has attended in this period will be not be able to attend the Easton Park campus for 14 days.
During this time, we will do all that we can to help you stay connected with your loved ones through phone calls and video chats. Your Director of Care Services can provide further information on how you can stay connected.
