A number of Whiddon’s aged care services in the Far North Coast region are currently experiencing flooding due to severe weather conditions.

Whiddon Kyogle – Residential aged care home:

Our Kyogle home has been affected by severe localised flooding. Kyogle township is currently isolated from surrounding areas..Residents and staff at the home are safe, with care services unaffected.

Families and relatives of residents have been contacted by Whiddon to provide an update on the current situation and to confirm that all residents and staff are safe.

Whiddon Far North Coast – Community care services:

Whiddon’s Community Care Services across the Northern Rivers (Lismore/Kygole) and Tweed Heads regions have been impacted by the severe weather and flooding.

Our Community Care Services are not currently operating in flood affected areas and scheduled services have been cancelled or postponed.

Clients and families have been contacted by Whiddon’s Coordinators and Customer Service Officers to ensure the safety of our clients living at home. Whiddon’s Customer Service Centre will continue to contact clients who are located in flood prone areas to ensure their safety.

Whiddon Casino – Residential aged care:

Our Casino home has not been impacted by flooding.

Whiddon Grafton – Residential aged care:

Our Grafton home has not been impacted by flooding.

Whiddon Maclean – Residential aged care:

Our Maclean home has not been impacted by flooding.

 

In the event that these conditions change, families, relatives and clients will be contacted and further information will be provided here.
