Update to Whiddon Easton Park families | 8 October 2020
We received advice from Liverpool Hospital that there has been a positive case of COVID-19 associated with the hospital.
As we have had some residents recently attend the hospital for medical treatment, it is recommended that we activate our COVID-19 precautionary measures to help keep our residents, employees and visitors safe. We have already been in contact with the families of residents who have been identified by NSW Health as a direct contact of the COVID-19 positive case.
This means that our staff will be wearing personal protective equipment at all times for now, and some residents have been placed in isolation, as a precautionary measure only. We want to reassure you that there have not been any reports of positive COVID-19 cases at Whiddon Easton Park.
We will keep in regular contact with you to provide you with updates on the situation. Whiddon considers the protection of our residents and staff against COVID-19 a priority, and we have robust infection control procedures in place.
For now, visits to the home are restricted until we know more. Our teams will facilitate video and phone calls wherever possible, as we know keeping you connected with your loved one is important.
You can also check our COVID-19 page on our website for updates or contact us on 1300 738 388 if you have any questions.
Again, we want to reassure you that this a precautionary measure only.
