Dear Residents, Families & Representatives,

Please be advised that Whiddon Maclean is currently experiencing an active COVID-19 Outbreak with 1 resident testing positive.

Please be assured that you will still be able to visit your loved ones during the outbreak. In line with advice from the Public Health Unit, visitors will be required to take Rapid Antigen Testing before entry and will be required to wear N95 masks and full PPE.

Visitations may only occur in your loved one’s room.

We will provide a further update if anything changes.

Important Information for Whiddon Easton Park – Taylor House Residents, Families & Representatives 22/04/2024

Please be advised that Whiddon Easton Park, Taylor House is still currently experiencing an active COVID-19 Outbreak in Christie Level 1 & Coates Secure Dementia wing, however, Straughen Level 1 has now been cleared of any COVID-19 cases.

Please be assured that you will still be able to visit your loved ones during the outbreak. In line with advice from the Public Health Unit, visitors will be required to take Rapid Antigen Testing before entry and will be required to wear N95 masks and full PPE.

Visitations may only occur in your loved one’s room.

We are pleased to advise that the COVID-19 Outbreak at Laurieton is now over.

Normal visiting arrangements will remain in place, visits are encouraged to be in rooms, verandas or highly ventilated spaces around the facility.

We thank everyone for their support and understanding whilst our staff managed this Outbreak.

Please note:

Power Outage Update at Whiddon Easton Park 16.04.2024

Dear Whiddon Easton Park Residents, Families & Friends,

Please be advised that some homes at Glenfield (Easton Park) are currently being affected by a Power Outage, due to provider upgrades in the area.

Residential homes are currently using backup generators to ensure we can maintain full operation, however, this outage is also affecting our Call Centre telecommunications for both inbound and outbound calls.

Please rest assured that we are in close communication with the provider, and we hope that the connection will be restored shortly.

We will update you as soon as we have further details. Thank you for your patience.

COVID Communication – Employees 5.04.2024

Dear Employees,

As community transmission of COVID-19 reduces to a low level, we will no longer require all Employees, Visitors, and Contractors to rapid antigen test (RAT) prior to entering our homes or visiting our clients.

Please note:

  • Services in Outbreak should continue to follow the required Infection Prevention and Control measures; continuing testing and other measures until the outbreak has ceased.
  • Visitors should be encouraged not to visit if they are experiencing any flu-like symptoms or are unwell.
  • If employees are experiencing any flu-like symptoms they should not attend work or if the symptoms are very mild, they are required to rapid antigen test before attending work.
  • We encourage you to keep up to date with your COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations.
