What is Community Care
Private home care options offer the same range of care and support services as with a Home Care Package, the only difference is that they are paid for by the customer.
Whiddon’s award-winning approach to care, qualified and experienced staff and range of customer benefits are also available to our private customers.
Private services are a good option for people who are waiting for a Home Care Package and need support while they wait, for people who may want to top-up their funded services, and may be a good financial option for self-funded retirees.
The care and services that you access through a private arrangement are designed with you to suit your needs and goals. There are no lock-in contracts, we offer month-to-month, prepaid and one-off service options.
Living at home and looking for additional support? You could be waiting for your Home Care Package, or looking for a private home care option. Our month-to-month packages provide a range of support levels, depending on what you need now and in the future.

If you’re looking for a short-term home care solution or a practical gift for an elderly parent, friend or neighbour, our prepaid home care services are a great option. Prepaid home care services are a great way to introduce someone to the idea of receiving help at home, to try us out, for short-term assistance, or event to top-up services you’re already receiving.
Whiddon’s prepaid home care includes access to a wide range of services. This includes housework and cleaning, social support, transport*, personal care, gardening and more.
When you purchase prepaid services, you can access 5 hours of these services and use them when you need them, within a 3 month period.

Whiddon provide home and community care services across New South Wales and southern Queensland. We have offices and staff in the towns and communities where we work, meaning that we’re nearby and are familiar with your local area and community.
Whiddon’s prepaid home care services are part of our private service offering. These services are available to anyone and there are no eligibility requirements.
