Update for Whiddon Kelso Families

Dear Families

This morning we were notified of a major gas line rupture in the Bathurst, Oberon and Lithgow regions. As a result, the gas line has been turned off. This is currently impacting services at our Whiddon Kelso Home, including hot water, gas stoves and clothes dryers.

We have activated our emergency plan and begun sourcing linen off-site, alternate washing facilities for residents (Bed Bath Wipes), as well as alternate cooking arrangements.

We are unsure at this stage how long the outage will last, however, will keep you updated as the situation evolves.

If the outage does extend for a period of time, we may ask for your support with washing and drying your loved ones’ personal items. We will notify you asap if this support is required.
We appreciate your patience at this time.

Important Update for Whiddon Wee Waa

Good Morning Everyone,

As most of you are aware our community at Wee Waa is currently not accessible without the support of our wonderful emergency services and specifically the SES team in town.

We currently have a significant issue with our TV / Foxtel system, we are working closely with our supplier to reslove this issue. In the meantime the staff have organised DVD’s and other activities for our residents to use.

We acknowledge the timing of this is preventing our residents accessing normal TV and particularly the News and Weather which for many is very important.

Once we can get a technician on site to replace this, we will have our system up and running again.

We thank our residents, staff, families and friends for their understanding with this.
