Update for Whiddon Narrabri Jessie Hunt Families

31 August 2022

We write to provide you with an update on the COVID situation at Jessie Hunt.

Today,  Wednesday 31 August marks Day 13 of the Outbreak. We have received PCR results from yesterday. Pleasingly, all 4 residents who had previously tested negative have remained as such.

From the staff perspective, unfortunately there were 2 positive staff cases reported on the weekend. Most furloughed staff, however, have now returned to work.

The safety of our residents and staff remain our utmost priority and Whiddon Narrabri continues to work closely with the local Public Health Unit. The ADF will be extending their support of our team at Jessie Hunt for an additional two days, remaining on site until Friday 2 September.

At this stage, the Outbreak Management Plan will remain activated.

  • Visitations are restricted to compassionate and essential visits only.
    • All visits must be pre-booked
    • Upon arrival, visitors will be required to complete a RAT test
    • Visitors are required to wear PPE for the duration of their visit
  • Skype calls are in place, for those who may wish to use this mode of contact

Further updates will be provided as the situation evolves. We thank you for your ongoing support and co-operation.
