Update to Whiddon Easton Park families

8 April 2022

We wanted to provide you with a further update on Whiddon Easton Park. Please find an update for each of the Whiddon Easton Park care homes below.

As a reminder, visitors must complete a rapid antigen test as a condition of entry. Please refrain from visiting if you are unwell or awaiting a COVID-19 test result. All visitors must pre-book their visit.

Taylor House

Pleasingly, it is expected that Straughen Level 2 and Christie will move from a red zone to an amber zone as of this Sunday, if there are no further cases of COVID-19. This means that residents in these areas will be able to freely move across their wings and are no longer be required to isolate in their rooms.

Coates Wing remains a red zone at this time. Visitors will be required to wear full PPE when visiting a red zone. For all other areas (amber zones), visitors are required to wear a N95 mask and eye protection such as face shield.

All residents, despite their location may have one visitor. That is, each resident may nominate one consistent visitor that may continue to visit for the duration of the lockdown.

Sir David Martin

Leslie Lock 1 and Leslie Lock 2 remain red zones. Visitors will be required to wear full PPE when visiting a red zone.

All other areas in Sir David Martin are amber zones. This means that residents in these areas will be able to freely move across their wings and are no longer be required to isolate in their rooms.

EPU Level 2 is an amber zone, which means that residents in these areas are able to freely move across their wings and are not required to isolate in their rooms.

EPU Level 3 remains a red zone. Visitors will be required to wear full PPE when visiting a red zone.

We thank you for your understanding and support. We want you to know that it is our highest priority to keep everyone in our family safe and well, and we are doing everything we can to achieve this. Our teams are also working hard to keep residents connected to their loved ones at this time, as we know how important this is.
