Update to Whiddon Moree families

6 April 2021

We wanted to provide you with an update on visitation to Whiddon Moree.

We continue to work closely with the Public Health Unit to ensure that we can safely lift the visitor restrictions at Whiddon Moree. As we still have a number of residents experiencing flu-like symptoms, we are not yet in the position to be able to lift these visitor restrictions.  As a result, we are still discouraging visitors at this time.

If you do need to visit during this time, we ask that you please book your visit in advance and strictly note the following:

– Visitors to Whiddon Moree knowingly enter the care home while we are encouraging visitors not to, and do so at their own risk of catching the rhinovirus
– Visitors must wear masks
– Visitors must be screened upon entry
– Visitors must wear PPE if they are visiting a symptomatic resident
– Visitors must remain in the residents room that they are visiting
– Residents are unable to leave the facility

We do understand this is a difficult time and thank you for your understanding.
