Update for Whiddon Kelso Families & Staff

Dear Families and Staff,

Please be advised that two residents have tested positive to COVID-19 in the Kingston Wing at our Whiddon Kelso home. These two residents are currently self-isolating, awaiting PCR result confirmation.

Due to this exposure, please note changes to visitations as follows:

  • Weekend visits are no available until further notice for all of Whiddon Kelso
  • Kingston residents can have 1 nominated visitor per person for the duration of the exposure period, for essential visits only
    (All visits to the Kingston Wing must be pre-booked with administration between the hours of 8.30am- 4.30pm.)
  • Visits must take place in the resident’s room or an outside, well- ventilated area, only.
  • Face shields and masks are to be worn for the duration of the visit.
  • Visitors must sign-in, take their temperature, complete a negative RAT test and wear an N95 mask and shield to enter the Facility.

Kingston residents are to remain in the Kingston Wing Residents will be permitted to leave for essential medical appointments only.

Resident in other parts of the Facility will not be provided access into the Kingston Wing.

Please note we are working closely with the Public Health Unit in managing this exposure.

Update for Whiddon Narrabri Staff

Dear Staff,

Please be advised that a staff member has tested positive at Robert Young, due to this all staff are required to:

  • N95 masks to be worn
  • Daily RAT testing
  • Staff in hostel to have face shields in addition to N95 mask

Restricted movement has been implemented between hostel and other wings.

Update for Whiddon Narrabri Families

Dear Families,

Please be advised that a staff member has tested positive at Robert Young, residents who have come into contact with this person have had PCR testing completed.

We are asking affected residents to remain in their rooms whilst tests are pending.

Visitations will continue, however, please ensure testing and screening is completed on arrival.

Update for Whiddon Easton Park Families

Dear Families,

Please be advised that we are currently experiencing a COVID outbreak in both Heathwood and Treloar in Sir David Martin (SDM) at Easton Park.

Visitors to Level 2, Leslie Lock  are welcome, however, will be required to complete the screening process and wear an N95 Mask.

Visitors to Heathwood and Treloar  will be required to wear additional PPE whilst we manage this Outbreak.

The team continue to work with the Public Health Unit and we will keep everyone updated as changes occur.

Important Update for Whiddon Families

Dear Families,

We wish to advise that due to the rising numbers of COVID-19 cases in the community we have implemented NEW visitation requirements, for the next 7 days:

  • All visits must be pre-booked
  • Upon arrival, visitors will be required to complete a RAT test
  • Visitors are required to wear PPE for the duration of their visit
  • Only ONE visitor a day during the outbreak for each resident

We are working closely with the Public Health Units in each community and will keep everyone updated as needed.

Update for Whiddon Easton Park Units

Dear Families,

We are writing to advise that we are aware that some residents who are using a Telstra Mobile Phone are experiencing an issue with receiving and making calls.

If you are trying to contact your family member at EPU by their personal mobile without success please let the team know as we are currently investigating this issue.

It appears to only be impacting Telstra customers at this stage.  Please call the EPU team directly if you are experiencing this problem.

We will continue to provide updateds as we investigate.

Update for Whiddon Beaudesrt Families

Dear Families,

We are writing to advise that we have had several staff and residents test positive to COVID-19  Whiddon Beaudesert.

The decision has been made to lockdown all areas for a minimum time period of 7 days, as the safty of our staff and residents is our highest priority.

We are working closely with the local Public Health Unit and the Outbreak Management Plan has been activated.

VISITATIONS:

  • All visits must be pre-booked
  • Visitations are restricted to partners in care or one nominated visitor, for compassionate and essential visits only.
  • Upon arrival, visitors will be required to complete a RAT
  • Visitors may be required to wear PPE for the duration of their visit

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time, and will provide further updates as the situation evolves.
