Dear Families and Staff,
Please be advised that two residents have tested positive to COVID-19 in the Kingston Wing at our Whiddon Kelso home. These two residents are currently self-isolating, awaiting PCR result confirmation.
Due to this exposure, please note changes to visitations as follows:
- Weekend visits are no available until further notice for all of Whiddon Kelso
- Kingston residents can have 1 nominated visitor per person for the duration of the exposure period, for essential visits only
(All visits to the Kingston Wing must be pre-booked with administration between the hours of 8.30am- 4.30pm.) - Visits must take place in the resident’s room or an outside, well- ventilated area, only.
- Face shields and masks are to be worn for the duration of the visit.
- Visitors must sign-in, take their temperature, complete a negative RAT test and wear an N95 mask and shield to enter the Facility.
Kingston residents are to remain in the Kingston Wing Residents will be permitted to leave for essential medical appointments only.
Resident in other parts of the Facility will not be provided access into the Kingston Wing.
Please note we are working closely with the Public Health Unit in managing this exposure.
