Urgent Message for Whiddon Redhead Families

Dear Families, Friends and Representatives

Whiddon Redhead is currently experiencing increased cases of COVID-19 in its facilities and our outbreak management plan has been put in place.
Next of Kin of Residents impacted will be contacted individually and those residents will be isolated in their rooms.
All visitors will be asked to wear a mask with some areas having increased personal protective equipment and visit in rooms only whilst we have active cases.

We thank everyone for their support and understanding while our staff manage the situation.

Please be advised that the lift in Arthur Webb Court remains out of service. We apologise for the extended delay in fixing this issue.  The service company have advised of some trouble obtaining the part required.

We sincerely apologise for this ongoing issue and will keep you updated with any information we receive.  Thank you for your patience and understanding with this.

Important message for families of Whiddon Residents and Clients 31/10/2024

Dear families, friends and representatives of Whiddon residents and clients,

As you may be aware, the Australian government has announced the shutdown of the 3G mobile phone network. This means that older mobile phones that only operate on the 3G network will no longer be able to make or receive calls, send texts, or access mobile data.

We understand this may affect some residents and home care clients who rely on their mobile phones to stay connected. We encourage you to check in with your loved ones to ensure their mobile phone is compatible with the newer 4G or 5G networks.

If their phone is not compatible, they will need to upgrade to a newer device. Many options are available, and your loved one’s current mobile network provider can assist with choosing a suitable replacement.

Urgent Message for Whiddon Maclean Families

Due to the severe thunderstorm, our front door is not operational at the moment.  Please enter via the basement until further notice.

Continue to drive past Main entrance towards the basement driveway to your left. Continue down the driveway and you will reach the basement door.

We are working to resolve this issue and thank everyone for their patience and understanding while this is being resolved.

Important message for Whiddon Easton Park, Arthur Webb Court Families

Dear Families, Friends & Representatives,

We would like to advise that Bhuwan Bhatt will be returning to his role as Care Service Manager of Arthur Webb Court as of Monday 28/10/2024. Some of you will have known Bhuwan prior to his secondment to our Moree Home.

At this time, we say Thank You and Goodbye to Seema who has been acting in the Care Services Manager position. Seema will return to her position in Taylor House.

Seema has had a positive impact and we are sure many of you will miss her at our Arthur Webb Home.

Important Information for Whiddon Moree Families, Friends, Representatives & Team Members 22/10/24

Dear Families, Friends, Representatives & Team Members,

COVID OUTBREAK RESOLVED:

Please be advised that our recent Covid Outbreak at Whiddon Moree is now resolved.  Thank you to our Moree team who contained the outbreak to a small number of residents, who have all recovered well.

Masks and RA testing are not required when visiting the home, however we ask you to refrain from visiting if you are feeling unwell or showing any signs of cold and flu symptoms. The health of our residents and employees is our utmost priority.

Dear Families, Friends & Representatives,

We would like to advise all families that there is currently a Gastroenteritis outbreak at Whiddon Wingham affecting the whole facility.  Families of residents who are directly affected have been notified.

To assist in controlling the outbreak, we strongly encourage you to delay your visit where possible to protect your own wellbeing and to avoid any further potential spread.
If visiting a resident with symptoms, you will be required to wear a gown, masks, gloves and face shields. All persons will be required to wear masks while in any area of the facility.

We remind everyone of the importance of correct hand washing procedures to help prevent any further spread.

Further updates will be provided in due course, and we thank you for your understanding during this time.
