Update for all Whiddon Families & Representatives 13 02 2024

Dear Residents, Family & Representatives

The community transmission of COVID-19 remain high across NSW and QLD. The current health advice is that all employees and visitors should continue to wear masks during periods of high community transmission.

For everyone’s safety, Whiddon will continue to require employees and visitors to wear surgical masks at all times and complete daily rapid antigen tests.

We will continue to review these requirements as the community transmission levels change.

Please continue to follow the NSW & QLD Health guidelines to assist in managing the spread of COVID-19:

  • Stay home if you have cold or flu symptoms.
  • If you are at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19, talk with your doctor now and make a plan for testing and antivirals before you get sick.
  • Stay up to date with your COVID-19 vaccinations.
  • Now is a good time to consider getting a COVID-19 booster vaccination if you are aged 65 years and over, or are at higher risk of severe COVID-19 illness, and haven’t had one in the last 6 months.
  • A COVID-19 booster vaccination is recommended for all people aged 75 years and over if it has been more than 6 months since your last dose.
  • As we start to approach the winter season, boost your protection by also planning for your Flu vaccination
  • Continue hand washing and good respiratory hygiene practices

Thank you for your ongoing patience and support.
