Wondering what the independent living unit costs? Each of our villages have different offerings and availability and, as such, costs vary between locations.
As a price guide, a 2 bedroom unit in one of our villages will start at around $350,000.
There are a range of fees and charges that you may have to pay to enter, live in and exit a retirement village.
The fees will be set out in your village contract. Some fees and charges you may have to pay include: a holding deposit, in-going contribution, recurrent charges, deferred management fee.
You may have to pay a departure fee when you leave this village.
Yes, you can rent an independent living unit at select village locations.
While the majority of our villages are available through a loan arrangement, we do have rental units available in some of our villages.
If you or somebody acting on your behalf contact a village about becoming a resident, the village operator is required to give you a general inquiry document. This document includes general information to help you search for the right village. It describes the type of village, the costs and the village facilities, and can provide you with information about what a retirement village looks like.
Our community care and residential services are often located just next door to our villages and can provide care and support as your needs change.
Many of our retirement village residents access Community Care services with Whiddon to provide assistance with cleaning, transport, shopping and for care and nursing assistance after illness or injury. These services can be accessed privately under a user pays model, or through a Home Care Package.
