Helping you stay connected to the people, places, interests and things that matter most to you is vital to your wellbeing. Social support services through Community Care can assist an older person to remain, or re-establish, connections with friends, hobbies, groups and clubs.
Social support may be in a group, or on a one-to-one basis. It could involve a home care worker visiting you at home to chat, spending time in the garden together, learning to use technology or work on a special craft project. Social support could also support you to get out and about, to visit an art gallery, attend Men’s Shed, or even join a family celebration like a wedding or a birthday.
At Whiddon, our approach is to work with you to ensure we’re supporting your goals – our approach to social support is no different – we’re here to help you stay connected to what’s most important to you.
Other community services provided by Whiddon: Social Groups, Meals and Groceries, Nursing and Clinical Care, Pet Care, Home and Household, Garden and Home Maintenance, Care Calls, Personal Care, Technology Assistance.
