Food

We have an accredited dietician who nutritionally analyses our seasonal menu every 6 months.

We focus on providing protein rich products and ensure our meals are well above the actual nutritional needs of our residents.

Whiddon’s menu offers adequate serves of all food groups across the menu cycle at 100%.

80% is met within our Main Meal offering, with the other 20% found in Whiddon’s midmeal options.

Compliance

Antipsychotic Medications

• Our services review Psychotropic Medication reports monthly to understand how many residents are prescribed these types of medications and how often they are reviewed.
• Our Quality Team regularly audits each services’ Psychotropic Medication Register to ensure the register is compliant
• Services aim to reduce and cease antipsychotic medications as per the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission’s guidelines

Weight Loss

• Services monitor weight loss every month and report on these for clinical indicators.
• All services utilise Dietitian services as required to support resident’s who are experiencing weight loss.
• Services have supplies of supplementary products to assist weight maintenance if indicated or requested by allied health professionals

Liquidity

Liquidity is an assessment of Whiddon’s ability to meet its current liabilities made up largely of accommodation deposits.

Feedback

Since receiving the feedback that some of our clients find our monthly fee statements difficult to interpret we have listened and implemented the following:

• We provided a fact sheet to all clients explaining the different parts of the fee statement and what each section referred to
• We provided additional training to our Coordinators so they are adept at explaining the statements to our clients
• We added Monthly Fee Statement Explanation to our Client Induction Checklist to ensure that each client has the statements explained to them when they enter our care.
